Camelina

Camelina Sativa (L.) has been described mostly as an ancient crop and a good source of edible vegetable oil, which for decades was neglected in industrial and commercial usage. This annual flowering oilseed plant belongs to the Cruciferae (Brassicaceae) family, which appears in spring and winter varieties. Other names of camelina that have been mentioned are dodder oil, German sesame oil or false flax, gold of pleasure, Siberian oilseed or wild flax.

In this project, the characteristics of three Camelina oil cultivars were studied. Those three cultivars were Omega, Luna, and Śmiłowska.
