Sunflower

Sunflower oil is a popular vegetable oil derived from sunflower seeds. It is known for its light color, characteristic odor, and flavor. Sunflower oil is used in various food preparations, such as salads, stews, preserves, and fine dishes. It is commonly reported to be used as an adulterant of expensive edible oils. To date, a specific legal regulation regarding oil adulteration by refined oil has not explicitly mentioned. However, Codex Alimentarius Comission has developed various methods of analysis to prevent the oil adulteration in recent years.

In this project, the comprehensive information about the characteristic of sunflower oil were investigated and presented on the following analyses.
