Rapeseed

Rapeseed oil is a vegetable oil that is produced from the seeds of the plant family Brassicaceae. There are both edible and industrial forms of rapeseed oil. The edible version, also known as canola oil, is used in the kitchen for cooking, baking, and food processing. Rapeseed oil is widely used around the world due to its affordability and versatility as a cooking oil. Food Authenticity Network reported the usage of rapeseed oil as an adulterant in food products, particularly in expensive edible oils. For example, a study reported that camellia oil was adulterated with corn oil, rapeseed oil, and sunflower oil.
